FINAL WEEK!!


Dear Parents-

Our Rehearsal on Friday went VERY WELL!! I think we are ready for Showtime. We are so excited for you to see what we have been working on. Here are the reminders for this week:

MONDAY, March 18th 3:30-5:30pm Tech Rehearsal/ALL CAST/NO COSTUMES

TUESDAY, March 19th 3:30-5:30pm Dress Rehearsal- FULL COSTUME-send child to school with costume items in bag.

WEDNESDAY, March 20th 3:30-5:30pm Dress Rehearsal- FULL COSTUME- send child to school with costume items in bag.

THURSDAY, March 21st Assembly Performance at 2:00pmFULL COSTUME- Please send your child's costume to school in their backpack or separate bag. We will excuse them from their classes early enough to change.

THURSDAY, March 21st Parent Performance at 7:00pm (Roll Call for Lead/Speaking Parts will be 6:00pm, Roll Call for Ensemble Groups will be at 6:30pmCOME IN COSTUME, if not rented)

FRIDAY, March 22nd Assembly Performance at 9:00amFULL COSTUME-***please send your child to school IN THEIR COSTUME. Have them be there by 8:30am.***

FRIDAY, March 22nd Parent Performance at 7:00pm (Roll Call for Lead/Speaking Parts will be 6:00pm, Roll Call for Ensemble Groups will be at 6:30pm. COME IN COSTUME if not rented)



PERFORMANCE NIGHTS NOTES:

1. CAST MEMBERS will need to enter through the NW doors by the buses (6:00pm for Leads, 6:30pm for Ensembles) Please come dressed in full costume (if not rented). We will meet as a cast in the gold neighborhood. Parents will NOT be permitted to come in with their child unless they are on the volunteer list for that night.
2. AUDIENCE MEMBERS will be allowed to enter through the South Side Gym Doors in front of the school (Weather permitting). ALL other doors will be locked. We will have 2 separate lines, one for priority ticket holders and one for general admission. The doors will open at 6:45pm. NO SEAT SAVING ALLOWED!
3. CONCESSIONS will be available before and after the show. There is no intermission. Proceeds go to school play budget for next year. Come Hungry :)
4. DVDS- Mr Vic's Digital Pics will be taking orders next to the concession stand for DVD's of the school play. They are $10 each. The School play leaders and PTA are not in charge of DVD orders.
5. CAST PHOTOS- We are working on having 8x10 Cast Photos and 4x6 Group Photos, plus a CD of pictures from rehearsals, etc, available for sale the night of the performances. More info to come!!

CAST PHOTOS ON FRIDAY!

Dear Parents-
 
We will be having Cast Photos taken at our Rehearsal on Friday, March 15th. So, it will be a FULL DRESS REHEARSAL from 1:30-3:30pm! Please send your child to school with their full costume in their back pack. We will give them time to change after school. If your child does not have their costume by Friday, they cannot be in the cast picture.

REHEARSALS EXTENDED!!!


Dear Parents-

We have 4 rehearsals left until our Performance Week. It is CRUNCH TIME!! We are VERY excited to show you what we have been working on!!

We have decided to extend our next 4 rehearsals by 30 minutes because we NEED the extra time to cover EVERYTHING! We hope you can make this adjustment in your schedules. ALL CAST need to be at ALL rehearsals from here on out. 

It may be a good idea to send some activities for your child to do while they wait off stage.....maybe some board games, card games, coloring, word searches, electronics (we can't be held responsible for loss or theft), etc. We will provide a movie for them to watch while they wait for their scenes off stage!

Here is the adjusted schedule:

Tuesday, March 5th 3:30-5:30pm
Friday, March 8th 1:30-3:30pm

Tuesday, March 12th 3:30-5:30pm
Friday, March 15th 1:30-3:30pm will be a FULL DRESS REHEARSAL. We will have cast photos taken this day!!

CHANGES-STARTING MARCH 5TH

Hello Parents-

We only have FOUR weeks until our Performance week for the School Play (March 18-22). Things are running smoothly and we are getting really excited to show you what we have been working on. Our Ensemble Groups (White Rabbits, Card Soldiers, Garden Flowers) have mastered their parts!! I can tell they are ready because they are starting to get a little bored at their Friday Rehearsals. SO, I am pushing back the date they need to start coming on Tuesdays to TUESDAY, MARCH 5TH. That will give them 2 extra practices to learn their entrance and exit for their number. I think that will be plenty.

Our Costume Check will be on FRIDAY, MARCH 1st. Please have your child bring/wear their costume to practice so we can make sure everyone has the correct costume. I have seen more GREEN options at Walmart recently for the Garden Flowers. Any pants/jeans or legging will work.

We are still accepting T-SHIRT orders if you missed out. They are $7.50 each. Please email me at amyturner6@yahoo.com if interested.

COSTUMES

Hello Parents-

We have 6 weeks until performance week and I'd like to get going on costumes! We will be having a costume check on Friday, March 1stHere is what you will need to provide for your child's costume:

Parents will need to provide the following for their child’s costume

White Rabbits- White Sweat Pants/Jeans or Leggings, White Long Sleeve Shirt, Black Shoes

Garden Flowers- Green Sweat Pants/Jeans or Leggings, Green Long Sleeve Shirt, Black Shoes (any color green is fine)

Card Soldiers- Black Sweat Pants/Jeans or Leggings, White Long Sleeve Shirt, Black Shoes

LOOK at the following places if you don't already have these items at home: Walmart, Target, Kohls, Sams Club, Hobby Lobby, Deseret Industries (DI), Savers. 

Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be out of town this week, but will be checking my email often and will get back to you as soon as I can.

TWO MORE THINGS: 

1. If you missed the T-shirt order and still want to get one, let me know. If we get at least 10 orders I can place another order that will come in 2-3 weeks. 

2. ALSO...plan on your child (all ensemble groups) coming to BOTH TUESDAY and FRIDAY rehearsals starting on FEBRUARY 26th.

MUSIC


PARENTS PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!!

On January 10th I sent out an email to everyone who signed up for the play. In this email, I attached an MP3 copy of the music (2 songs for the opening number, and their ensemble number) PLUS a copy of the words your child needs to be learning for their parts. I NEED YOUR HELP!! Please work with your children and play the music as often as you can. I believe the more they hear the music, the better they will learn, know and perform it. Keep checking the blog for up to date information, and please do not hesitate to email 
me at anytime if you have any questions! Rehearsals are going great and we're moving right along!!

P.S. Next Tuesday rehearsal for Lead/Speaking parts is after school EARLY OUT 1:30-3:00!! P.P.S T-shirts will be handed out next Friday, February 1st.
